Meet the founder
30 years in the industry taught me one thing: the right DJ doesn't just play music — they hold the room.
"I started in the mid-90s as a promoter and producer. I've owned and operated nightclubs, built atmospheres from scratch, and managed crowds of thousands. I know what it takes to make a room come alive — and I've made it my life's work to bring that to every event we touch."
San Diego born and raised. My name is JJ Brawley, and SD DJ On The Go is the company I built on three decades of hard-won experience — as a nightclub owner, promoter, producer, DJ, MC, and for the past 15 years, a somatic facilitator and men's work and relationship coach.
That last part matters more than you might think. Understanding how people move, what they feel, and how to hold space for life's biggest moments isn't something most DJs think about. It's something I've dedicated my life to. And it's what sets the standard for every talent I bring onto this roster.
When you book SD DJ On The Go, you're not just hiring someone to play music. You're hiring my taste, my standard, and my 30 years of knowing exactly what makes a night unforgettable. Whether I'm personally behind the decks or one of our carefully selected DJs is representing the brand — that standard doesn't change.
What we stand for
Curated talent only. Every DJ on our roster has been personally vetted. We don't send strangers — we send professionals who share our philosophy.
You work with the owner. From your first inquiry to the night of your event, JJ is your point of contact. No call centers, no middlemen.
Depth behind the music. 15 years of coaching means we understand what makes your event personal — and we protect that.
Conscious Events are personal. JJ facilitates every Conscious Experience himself. This is his signature work — always.
Southern California is our home. San Diego, Orange County, LA, Temecula, Inland Empire — we know these venues, these crowds, these communities.
