Not every event — and that's intentional. SD DJ On The Go is a boutique agency with a curated roster of DJs I've personally vetted over 30 years in this industry. What never changes: JJ is your point of contact from the first inquiry to the last song, and every DJ on our team is held to the same standard. For Conscious Events, JJ facilitates every experience personally — always. If you'd like to request JJ specifically for your event, just mention it in your consultation and we'll do our best to make it happen.
Weddings are our specialty, but our team also covers corporate events, private parties, cultural celebrations, milestone birthdays, holiday parties, and ecstatic dance events. And separately, JJ personally facilitates Conscious Events — intentional pre-wedding experiences for couples and wedding parties.
All of Southern California — San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Temecula, and the Inland Empire. San Diego native, so SD is always home base.

Absolutely — and I encourage it. Your event should sound like you, not a generic playlist. Bring me your do-NOT-play list and I'll honor it all night.
Absolutely. After our consultation you’ll fill out a full event itinerary and we’ll plan your entire event together — song by song if you’d like. It’s one of my favorite parts of the process.
I carry backup equipment to every event. After 30 years in this industry I’ve seen everything — and learned to be ready for all of it.

How it all works
We build every package around your specific event — the venue, the hours, the vibe, and what you actually need. There are no fixed tiers or published prices because a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't serve you. A consultation is the starting point: free, no commitment, and it gives us everything we need to send you a real proposal. Book yours here.
As soon as you have a date. We take one event per day, so popular weekends fill fast — especially May through October. San Diego dates are often booked 12–18 months in advance. If you have a date in mind, check availability now rather than later.
A vintage rotary phone we set up at your event so guests can pick up the handset and leave you a voice message — laughter, toasts, stories, love. You receive the full digital recording file after your event. It's one of our most beloved features, and it's included with every wedding booking at no extra charge.

A new offering — intentional pre-wedding ceremonies for grooms, brides, and families. Drawing on 15 years as a somatic facilitator and men’s work and relationship coach, these are fully facilitated, sober experiences designed to help wedding parties step into marriage with clarity and intention.
